Hello all,
Today, it’s truly summer, with the high nineties here in coastal Delaware, and we’ve had our first brief power interruption. The luxury homes go up right and left, over farmers’ fields, and the native pine and hardwood stands wane. There is much to be said about global warming and infrastructure deficits. Next month, we’ll return to our home state of New Jersey, once the Garden State, to a well-established 55+ community — built in the 1970s it skirts the Pine Barrens — Ah, well, our decision to move closer to family is sound.
Please enjoy a small collection of my photo poems: Haiga. I’ve had many published in journals over the years.
Writing Haiku and photo Haiga, I’m inspired by nature, often water. Senryu Haiga can be ironic or satiric, often based on a human characteristic. I don't adhere to the traditional formula of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. :-)
Wonderful series of Haiku and photos. Good luck with your move!
Glad to hear you’re moving even closer now! I think nearer family is a great idea!
Miss chatting to you.. please send me your new address when you can! Lynda( who hooked with you!)
